A Concept

Romeo+Juliet (A Cover) was a pop-rock musical retelling of Shakespeare's classic, Romeo and Juliet. 

Themes to be Reflected in the Design:

• "Star-Crossed Lovers" Literally
• Pop-Rock Musical Aesthetic
• Lovers Torn Apart/Family Feud

A Plan

Graphic Designer/Creative Director Duties:

• Create a production PR Timeline
• Reserve Banner/Poster Slots & Event Venues
• Lead PR Team Meetings and Create Agendas
• Adapt designs to multiple print and digital formats (i.e. Postcards, Exterior Banners, Facebook Banners, Social Media Graphics)
• Create and Assign Marketing Ideas Presentations
• Organize and Schedule Photo/Video Shoots
• Ensure the consistency of the overall artistic vision of the production amongst all positions

A Pandemic

The COVID-19 Pandemic caused our production to be postponed until the following Fall semester.  We had to pivot not only how we performed, but how we marketed.  During this time, I also took on the Social Media Manager position. 

Social Media Manager Duties:

• Design and caption engaging social posts
• Create a Social Media Schedule
• Ensure the artistic vision and the Carroll Players mission are communicated and consistent across all platforms

A Production

In order to follow Carroll's COVID-19 guidelines, we adapted our production to include more digital elements like pre-recorded music videos and a live stream.  Not only was I involved in marketing the production, but I also helped out with videography and editing. (See my R+J Music Video)

​In order to highlight these changes, I also created an interactive webpage on the Carroll Players website that follows along a podcast done by Carroll's Visual and Performing Arts Department.
